As Clay Sharpens Iron: An Intro to Knife Sharpening [TUTORIAL]

.I learned at a young age how and why you need a good edge on your knife, sword, and axe. Today, I see all kinds of gadgets to sharpen a knife. Whether or not you the customer need it or not, the knife-sharpening manufacturers claim very easy and simple ways to sharpen a knife. All my life I wanted to know how to not only sharpen my weapons but to find that connection to the past ….to the very weapon smiths of old! If today our current civilization came crashing down and there was no power, heat, or running water… what would happen? Who would survive?

Gothic Easter Meal for Anytime [RECIPE/TUTORIAL]

This past Easter I came up with some food that you could make all year round! It was very yummy, so wanted to share it from my perspective! Sadly, all the little bunnies were in my stomach, but I was a happy girl at the moment so that’s what was important. Once again it was the dreaded Sunday and no one was looking forward to going back to work, school, or any day in/day out activity that required society to work in general. But I had something that would cheer me up and have this Easter end with bang! *shoots gag gun*

Harold and Maude [USER REVIEW]

Harold is a young man from a wealthy background. Dissatisfied with life, his favourite activity is staging fake suicides, much to the dismay of his long-suffering mother, who wishes that he would find a wife. Harold’s other hobbies include watching demolitans and attending random funerals. Also, he drives a hearse. Death-obsessed and lonely, Harold doesn’t really have any friends…well, except for one person, maybe.

Behind the Scenes of Total Hell [FILM REVIEW]

Behind the Scenes of Total Hell is a mockumentary done in the spirit of This is Spinal Tap, except instead of following an 80’s hair band around it chronicles the attempts of amateur filmmakers who are trying to produce a horror movie called Totalitarian Hell (later shortened to Total Hell), which looks like a British version of Blair Witch Project only with worse directing and an even lower budget.

Freaks with Badges [ARTICLE]

Sometimes, when we think about being outsiders, we can start to see certain divisions as more important than others. First, it’s who’s Goth and who’s not; then it’s what type of Goth are you, Victorian, Steampunk, Cybergoth, etc. However, if we widen our gaze a little bit, we could easily see that there are tons of other freaks and outcasts all around us. And usually the ones with the name badges who give us all the conveniences of modern life get it the worst!

Un Chien Andalou [User Review]

For me, this is the sort of film that is best interpreted emotionally. It’s a very atmospheric work, and I’d recommend just losing yourself in all of its wonderful strangeness. I wasn’t bothered too much by not fully understanding the story behind it, because it still managed to arouse all sorts of feelings inside of me. I didn’t quite understand these feelings- they were just as much a mystery to me as the film itself -but that’s just what made them so incredible to experience. If a film, or any other work of art, is capable of doing that, then I feel that it has…
