Far Cry 3 [VIDEO GAME REVIEW]
If you’ve somehow played the other games in this franchise and not enjoyed them, then you may have already decided against this game. Wait! This is not your standard Far Cry fare. It has multiple redemptive qualities, and, might I say, it even has it’s own little moments of awesome shininess. It has elements of game-play that make you yearn to pick up your controller and go roaming through the jungles of the island, shooting and knifing people and animals as you go. It also has some really cool gameplay mechanics and it makes being sneaky fun, which is a huge plus…
Ghosts & Carpet Sharks #1: Greywalker’s Kat Richardson [INTERVIEW]
If you are new to the series, Greywalker chronicles the first-person perspective of Seattle Private Investigator, Harper Blaine. After a catastrophic assault left Harper dead for two minutes, she came back with the ability to see into the Grey: the spectral realm that is the home of apparitions, wraiths, broken fragments of time, and a deadly monster called the Guardian, who helps make sure the two worlds don’t intermingle (and, as it turns out, is Harper’s boss). Because she can see things no one else can, spirits and other invisible “residents” of Seattle…
Borderlands 2 DLC: Krieg the Psycho [VIDEO GAME REVIEW]
Krieg the Psycho, aside from being everything his name implies, is the ultimate all or nothing, high risk, high reward character. His skill trees are designed to keep you pressing forward in an all-out, no holds barred attack. Why sit behind cover and take shots at enemies or sneak in for a backstab when charging you opponent head on to deliver a face full of axe can solve the problem faster. While using his action skill, Buzz Axe Rampage, Krieg’s melee damage and movement speed are increased. He can also throw his axe at retreating enemies, causing them to stumble…

Returning from a self-imposed exile, he arrives to find that he has become the laughing stock of the town because of his alleged Riverbeast sightings, earning him the nickname “RB.†He resumes his life by moving in with his godmother and best friend, Teddy (Tom Scalzo), whom he constantly seems to get in fights with. Louisville Tattoo Arts Convention 2013: Inks, Freaks & Magic [ARTICLE]
Everyone has a guilty pleasure. For some people, it is as simple as chocolate or shopping, but there are some out there that go much deeper and twisted than that, to places that others may consider offensive or taboo. There are some people who enjoy suspension, freak shows, magic shows and, of course, let us not forget tattoos. This convention had it all.
The Hunger [FILM REVIEW]
If you haven’t guessed already, this is one of the essential Goth films. It’s ridiculously chic, it has vampires in it, and it’s arty; not to mention the fact that none other than Bauhaus appears at the very start of the film, performing the quintessential Goth song “Bela Lugosi’s Dead”. That is pretty much as Goth as it gets.

As the new DarkestGoth Gaming section gets into gear right before E3, I find myself thinking about the year in gaming.
