The ones you speak
Silently in my ear
Only I can hear
The guilt-strewn ugly
That shame that
You taunt me with

Alone by my side

Chagrined at the evil
That lingers near me
Always in spirit
Beckoning to me

Oh dark, evil hatred
I despise how you steal
You kill ALL my joy
My peace,
You dispel

The light at the end
Of the tunnel
Draws closer
The closer I get
The less you can torture…
